The app determines the volume of oil to add to the amount of gasolene/petrol you have based on the recommended mixing ratio by the engine manufacturer. For these engines, petrol must have oil mixed with it, or you risk burning up the engine. If not enough oil is present you risk damming the engine, and too much oil can foul up the engine.
