(Animals) The Aronhi homeworld is filled with a variety of mamal species which are derived from catlike species, much like the Aronhi themselves. One of the most commonly seen species, as Aronhi pets is the so called Treecat. They are a lemur like woodland creature which are either found as pets or free roaming in some Aronhi settlements. They are an omnivore gathere species that is highly intelligent with remarkable social attributes. In many ways similar to Terran monkeys and apes in intelligence and social ability. They bond very easily with Aronhi and can be trained to perform a number of functions. In the wild this and other realted species are found typically in woodland and jungle terrain. What is most remarkable is their often social symbiosis withlarger grround dwelling species, both carnivores and herbivores alike. Treecat species have learnt cross-species social skills and can work cooperatively with species that might be considered a threat to them. These attributes may explain why they bond so well with the Aronhi and why they are recorded as the first domestic animal in use by them. Aronhi scientists widely hold the view that the Treecat species is a derivative of their own genetic ancestors in the evolutionary past.
